Type var in C#

Var is an implicit type in C#. It is defined according to value assigned to the variable.

var thing = 10; (thing will be integer)

var thing = “Car” (thing will be string)

In addition, var type can only be defined locally in C# because of C# specifications. We cannot define a var type globally.
